Rainbows

Yesterday while watching the rain sprinkle lightly, and the sun trying to shine through the clouds, I was in search of a rainbow. I did not find one, and it left me feeling a little sad as I have not seen a rainbow in what feels like a long time. Growing up on the sunny and rainy North Coast of NSW, Australia, meant that I saw lots of rainbows, and I can even say I have seen many double rainbows. I never realised that by moving from Byron Bay, that one day, one of the things I would miss, would be seeing rainbows. This is a rainbow we saw one day, from the patio of our  little beach house in Byron.

Natures wonders, A rainbow is an optical phenomenon that causes a spectrum of light to appear in the sky when the Sun shines onto droplets of moisture in the Earth’s atmosphere….making the arc of colour, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.
