Winter Rainbows

Like a dusting of powdered sugar, the snow came down again today putting a fresh white coating on top of everything. It looked so sweet and pretty, I can’t get enough of watching gentle snow flakes fall. A small amount of snow compared to last weeks blizzard, today only 2 inches on the ground. Enough though for sledding up and down the street and around and around the sled run. Maya wanted to take their twirling ribbons that Pop and Grandma gave them each for Christmas. At first I hesitated as my visualisation for the ribbons had been of them running in a green grassy field on a Summer’s day…but then the imagination of the ribbon rainbows coursing through the snow seem too good to resist. So out we went into the snow with the twirling ribbons…putting some magical colour in our Winter white day!
