Ice Blocks

With the change of season I find myself remembering forgotten pleasures. One of the beauties of living in the moment of a season is that each season has a bounty of experiences unique to it. I wholeheartedly embrace what is happening in the present of the day. Through the winter I had completely forgotten the joy of eating a Popsicle while sitting on the stoop until a hot day came along and I suddenly remembered ICE BLOCKS!

Maya and Elle  enjoy eating them and since I make ours from blended fruit and water I am happy for them to have them often. A healthy treat to be had on a warm day. The Girls like eating them in the bath tub too, which I think is great to do as it limits the mess! An after dinner dessert in the bath!

Fruit Ice Blocks

1 punnett of raspberries

1 cup of water

2 tablespoons of maple syrup

Method

Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Poor into Popsicle molds and freeze for two hours.

You can use almost any fruit you would like, banana, strawberries, watermelon, combining them to make yummy summertime flavours, and remember, adults love popsicles too!
