Summer In The City

With this relentless heat wave, people have been turning on the fire hydrants and playing the the (free) city water. The girls and I have yet to join our neighbours doing this, but we have enjoyed seeing them cooling off, and having fun!

  1. I came across your blog via ohdeedoh, and have been enjoying reading about your adventures. I find myself especially infatuated with life in Ditmas Park as we are planning a move within the next year (currently in Clinton Hill) and its one of the hoods we’ve been considering. Bayridge is another strong contender. How did you find this perfect spot -broker? craigslist? We are also looking for an outdoor space, and we’d be over the moon if we found something similar!!

P.S. Soba noodles look devine… i’ll be trying that recipe out soon.

  2. Hello!
Ditmas is a great spot, and is becoming better and better with new (trendy/cool) shops opening up. We love strolling the streets of amazing houses. We were in Park slope and have lived in Fort Greene too, and Brownstone living is special….but Ditmas has been a good change! We found our place through friends. Previously times the owner had had it listed with agents in the neighborhood, so it might be worth visiting some local agents. I can keep my ear to the ground and pass on anything I hear about. Good luck with finding the right spot!
