Today when I collected Maya from Playgroup Kristin handed me a drawing that Maya had done during class. Kristin and I exchanged a broad smiles to acknowledge this was a special one. The title on the back read ‘Maya and her Babies’. I knew then and there that this would be a drawing I would keep forever. There is something really special about having a daughter who wants to have babies…it is reassuring to know that your children have an interest in being parents…especially a daughter. Knowing you have passed on a maternal instinct makes you feel like a proud Mama. I have to share Maya’s very special self portrait of her and her four babies (by the way, they are all Girls!).
