After wet felting the wool balls yesterday morning, I had the idea to make mermaids. Elle’s needled felted princess was sitting near me, and I think having my hands in water made me think of mermaids…and so last night I went to work needle felting princesses of the sea. Maya specifically wanted a redhead ‘Ariel’ mermaid, and Elle was happy to have whatever I made. We have had a lot of fun playing mermaids today, setting up a little mermaid world with shells, rocks and a palm tree…blissful warm thoughts while we are still in the midst of a lot of wintry snow!
