Today was an exciting day for Maya. All summer long we have been looking forward to Ballet sign-on, and it finally has rolled around. This season Maya is studying combined Ballet and Tap Dancing, and so today we bought her first pair of tap shoes. Maya tried them on (and tried them out) at the Ballet studio and then reluctantly took them off to go home. The moment we arrived home she put on her new uniform and her shoes and tapped her heart out. At one point she said to me, “Look at my smile Mummy, I am so happy!”. We skyped Cam at work so he could see (and hear) her tap and it melted my heart when she said with so much sincerity “Thank you Daddy I love you so much”.
What a performer! Maya looks gorgeous! Black certainly suits her.

Maya was 3 1/2 when she started ballet. So tiny and cute! It was very basic and all about having fun! As you can see, Maya is really into it. Elle would go tomorrow if she could, but will have to wait another year….
